Represent rocks, a barrier impenetrable to both plants and herbivores.
Represent a plant seed (too small to be seen by a herbivore). There are several settings that influence the world as a whole:
-
These two cannot sum to more than 100:
- Rock Percentage
- The percentage of the world's cells occupied by rocks.
- Life Percentage
- The percentage of the world's cells occupied by life.
- Herbivore Percentage
- The percentage of the living cells occupied by Herbivores.
- Plant Percentage
- The percentage of the living cells occupied by Plants.
These two must sum to 100:
There are several settings that influence life, each having separate settings for Plants and Herbiores:
- Maximum Life Span
- The average maximum life span of the life form. Individuals have this maximum life span ± 5 turns (this prevents a mass simultaneous die-off of the initial organisms).
- Spontaneous Death Chance
- The organism's chance of dying spontaneously each turn. This is in addition to the risk of dying due to predation or to having reached the maximum life span.
- Growth Chance
- The organism's chance of growing in a given turn, provided it is growth-eligible (not yet at its maximum size).
- Spawn Chance
- The organism's chance of spawning in a given turn, provided it is spawn-eligible (large enough to span). size).
- Delay After Spawn or Growth
- The number of turns the organism must wait to Spawn or to Grow after having done either. size).
